Tax Administration Intern
Overview:
Tax Administration Interns provide support to the tax and administration departments while learning and experiencing what it’s like to work in a public accounting firm. The ideal candidate will be a student looking to develop entry level skills in a professional office environment who is interested in exploring the world of public accounting. Tax Administration Interns gain valuable exposure to and experience working with and processing a variety of different tax and legal documents, gaining an overview of the operations of the firm and the project management associated with preparing a tax return.
This internship runs from January - April of 2024.

responsibilities:
Provide support to the administrative department in a variety of tasks as assigned.
Understand and comply with firm policies and professional standards.
Complete projects in a reasonable time with accurate and presentable results.
Communicate and ask questions to understand assigned projects and tasks.
Be a team player.
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, and honesty.
Increase skills and knowledge through mentorship from senior staff and personal study.
Understand firm services and how they relate and support each other.
Be presentable and professional in both appearance and communication.
Maintain organization and tidiness of shared workspaces.

Learns new software quickly and becomes proficient in firm software and programs
Learns to identify, sort, and bookmark basic tax forms
Learns to follow instructions for basic tax forms and prepare assembled product for clients
Education & Experience:
Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
